FAQs
YOU HAVE TWO COLLECTIONS THAT FEATURE HANDWRITING. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM?
Our Bespoke Handwriting collection consists of personalized pieces made with the handwriting you send us with your order. Each piece is made to be a one of a kind future heirloom featuring your handwriting or the handwriting of those you cherish.
The Present Day Posies collection features sentiments and handcarved images of nature conveying love, friendship, and inspiration. They are pieces inspired by antique posey rings with messages inscribed in Kristin’s handwriting. They are not made to be personalized. Did you know Kristin won so many Snoopy dollars for penmanship in 4th grade that she was recognized at a school wide assembly? If only Mr. Turner could see where she took her handwriting skills!
WHAT IS HEIRLOOM QUALITY JEWELRY?
Our jewelry's durability, function, and timeless design make it worthy of passing down through generations. Jewelry becomes an heirloom because of its value, quality, beauty, and the story behind the piece.
Our jewelry is solidly constructed, and if it ever were to break, it can be repaired by us or your local jeweler. We use jewelry quality metals like solid sterling silver and 14k gold, that provide strength and durability. All connections are soldered permanently closed preventing the connections from coming apart with regular wear.
HOW DO I ORDER?
Place your order on our website. We can also process your order over the phone with a credit card.
We accept Discover, Master Card, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. All transactions are secure and encrypted, and we never store your credit card information.
HOW DO I SEND MY HANDWRITING?
Take a picture of the handwriting you'd like to use. Please make sure the handwriting is not blurry. Good lighting helps your camera or phone focus and capture a clear picture.
Then email the picture and your order number to hello@kristinlarson.com. We'll email you to confirm we've received your handwriting.
WILL YOU SEND A PROOF BEFORE YOU MAKE MY HANDWRITING JEWELRY?
In the interest of time, we don't send proofs for every order. We will send you a proof for your approval if we have questions about the layout for your jewelry, or you request a proof.
WHEN WILL MY JEWELRY SHIP?
All of our pieces are made by hand in our studio in the state of Washington.

HOW IS YOUR JEWELRY MADE?
We met in college, pouring metal out at the foundry. We still use the same time honored metalsmithing techniques we learned back then to make our jewelry.
Kristin carves her original designs by hand in wax. Then we cast them in our studio. We appreciate the subtle imperfections and organic nature that lost wax casting can produce. These makers marks are evidence that our pieces originate in our head and hearts, and have been made by our own hands. Our aim is to avoid the sterile machine made look by infusing warmth and genuineness into our jewelry.
For a step by step look at the lost wax casting process, see our blog post.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We are located in Battle Ground, WA, near Portland, OR and the Columbia River. The town's name comes from a local legend about a battle that never happened. Ironically, we once lived in a city called Happy Valley, but we found happiness in Battle Ground.
We make and ship every piece of jewelry from our studio.
WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU WORK WITH?
We use recycled 14k gold, sterling silver, and bronze.
