A tiny sterling silver skull.
During the Renaissance, artists filled their canvases with symbols of impermanence; wilted flowers, melting candles, and skulls, gentle reminders of life’s fleeting nature. Memento Mori means “remember death,” an invitation to reflect on the shortness of life and, in turn, to live it more fully.
When I carved this skull in wax, I wanted her to feel approachable, not frightening, not cute, but human. A reminder that time is precious, and every moment is worth being awake to.
Meaning Card Included
Memento Mori means “remember you must die.” It’s not a morbid thought, but a meaningful one, a nudge toward presence. This skull honors the cycles of time and the fragility of our days, calling us to notice what truly matters.
May this small skull rest against your heart as a reminder: time is a gift. Live fully while you are here.
